Lindsey & Josh ~ The Milestone

Lindsey & Josh

Lindsey & Josh selected the Milestone  in Krum, TX  for their wedding venue.  Lindsey listed the reasons behind their choice: ”  it’s gorgeous, the staff was beyond helpful, and because it’s a one stop shop; they provided most everything.  All we really had to do was find a photographer!”

Lindsey’s dress was a one of a kind, made by Allure &  purchased at Terry Costa in Dallas, Tx.  Her shoes  were silver wedges by Candies, and were perfect for an outdoor wedding.  All the tux’s came from Jos A Bank. Josh picked this vendor because of the more modern style tux they offered.  The flowers came from Bloomfield Florist in Denton.  The Bride’s bouquet was a mixture of white and ivory peonies and roses with a touch of pink. The bridesmaid’s bouquets were opposite, mostly peonies and roses in shades of pink, with a touch of ivory.

Lindsey & Josh wanted a timeless & elegant theme with a touch of charm. Choosing to have the ceremony outdoors, and reception inside, just added to all the charm.  One of their favorite  memories of the entire day was Lindsey walking down the aisle, and Josh being speechless at seeing his bride for the first time.

The cakes were included in The Milestone package and came from Candy Haven (Lindsey says they are the best cakes ever!). The bride’s cake was a white chocolate cake with a layer of strawberry filling and cream cheese and topped with white butter cream icing. The cake was topped with pink peonies from Bloomfield Florist. The groom’s cake was Texas State University themed (the school that both the bride and groom graduated from) and was a chocolate cake with chocolate cream icing and topped with dipped strawberries.  The food was done by The Milestone and was included in their package! The couple chose to provide hors d’oeuvres: a beautiful display of fruit, vegetables, cheese and crackers. The Milestone staff hand served chipotle steak skewers and quesadillas (veggie, chicken and steak). The alcohol service was provided by Party Bartenders, who did a fantastic job!

The invitations and stationary were very simple and the bride made them all her self. She made them a little extra special by including a wallet size engagement photo, that Jim took, in all of the invitations. The couple chose to make a wedding website to have all of the guests RSVP to instead of mailing back an RSVP card.

The couple chose to have a popcorn bar at their wedding. They had seen candy bars done so many times but since their favorite snack was popcorn, they figured it would be something fun and different!  They bought the popcorn from The Popcorn Stop on Hulen St. in Fort Worth. They chose buttery popcorn, kettle corn, and salt and vinegar popcorn (their favorite) and supplemented it with a few different chocolate candy mix-ins to really give everyone that salty & sweet combo!
The honeymoon was at The Grand Velas Riviera Maya Resort and Spa in Playa Del Carmen. They wanted to go somewhere beachy for their honeymoon and they thought that an all inclusive resort was the best option. The Grand Velas was one of the first places they looked into because they were blown away by the pictures they found on the internet. They left the wedding in a vintage classic car provided by My Vintage Limo and went straight to a hotel near the airport. They caught a plane early the next morning and spent a week in Playa Del Carmen.
Congrats, Lindsey & Josh!  We wish you joy, luck & most of all, love & happiness!  Thank you for choosing us to be a part of your special day.

Amanda & Todd

They met in 5th grade, because of an assignment to make a video of the first moon landing.  Fast forward to January 2014-Todd pops the question!

It’s tough planning a fall wedding while still attending Texas A&M.  But with the help of both Amanda & Todd’s families, slowly but surely, their special day is coming together.

We can’t wait to help you celebrate!

Christina & Tyler

Tyler & Christina copyright Jim Byrd Photography

Tyler and Christina met through mutual friends during their sophomore year of high school. Christina attended Grapevine High while Tyler went to Colleyville Heritage. These schools were big cross-town rivals but it being such a small area, almost everyone knew of people at the other school. They met while attending a volleyball tournament in which Grapevine happened to be playing Colleyville. Tyler was sitting with a friend that Christina knew and Christina told her friend she wanted to go up and say hi. They were introduced and Christina immediately fell for Tyler’s sweet personality and good looks! Several months went by before they came across each other again on the bus to the big rivalry football game. Tyler got up the courage to say hi to Christina as she walked by and later got her phone number from a mutual friend. After talking on the phone for hours each day for a couple weeks, Christina asked Tyler to come to her house and meet her family and have dinner with them. Tyler asked her to be his girlfriend that night and from then on out, they were inseparable!

After a rough break up in college in early 2011, Tyler got a job offer overseas doing contract firefighting for a year. He accepted the job and moved to the Marshall Islands in the middle of the Pacific Ocean in late 2011. It didn’t take long before Tyler and Christina realized they couldn’t live without each other. During Tyler’s whole year gone, they talked on the phone almost every day. He was finally able to come home in September of 2012 and the two have never been happier since!

Tyler proposed in August of 2013 at the park by Christina’s house that they first took a walk around at age 15 when he asked her to be his girlfriend. They are absolutely ecstatic to start their new lives together after getting married on September 20, 2014!

Lauren & Brandon ~Piazza in the Village

Lauren and Brandon were married at Piazza in the Village in Colleyville, TX.  The couple found their venue while at a bridal show in Dallas, and they fell in love with the Piazza when they visited it.  With its beautiful chandeliers and charming atmosphere, to the fact that it would be very convenient to have the ceremony and reception at the same place, it was the perfect spot.

The wedding theme was one of rich jewel tones; emerald green, deep blue and purple; along with lots of crystals and sparkle! Amidst the sparkle, the bride wore a Demetrios white strapless dress with a beaded top, ruching, and asymmetrical pickups from  Brides by Demetrios in Frisco. Her shoes were a pair of silver sparkle heels by Antonio Melani that she purchased at Dillards.
She completed her wedding day look with a silver sparkle bracelet from Brides by Demetrios and silver teardrop earrings from The Bridal Palace in Tulsa OK. The bride also carried a bouquet of blue, purple, and white flowers, adorned with sparkly, jeweled brooches from her great grandmothers.
The bridesmaids all wore long dresses with sequin trim; the Maid of Honor and Matron of Honor in emerald green, and the rest of the girls in purple. The girls accessorized with matching rhinestone bracelets and various styles of silver, sparkle earrings. They each got a mini emergency kit from The Container Store that came in a mini silver sparkle bag.

All of the girls had their hair, makeup, and nails done at the Elixir Day Salon in Colleyville TX. To match the sparkly theme of the wedding, the girls all had sparkled, light pink shellac nails, and the bride wore a sparkle hair clip from Brides by Demetrios, and a rhinestone trimmed veil.

The groom and his groomsmen were outfitted in Ralph Lauren tuxes from Al’s Formal Wear, and Brandon added a little personal touch with Dallas Cowboy cufflinks.

Amanda Dale, from High Fire Designs (now Lizzie Bees Flower Shoppe), did the flowers for the big day, decorating the venue with beautiful jewel toned flowers, along with candles and crystals.

The reception was catered by Piazza in the Village. For cocktail hour, there was a delicious assortment of lobster empanadas, mini quiche, and ham & gruyere bites. A sit down dinner started with a spinach and blue cheese salad, accompanied by bread, and was followed by a bacon wrapped filet, served with mashed potatoes and asparagus.

Delicious Cakes in Southlake TX made the cakes for the wedding.

The Bride’s cake was 5 tiers of delicious pink  Champagne and wedding cake, with fresh strawberry filling and white icing.

The Groom’s Cake was chocolate with chocolate filling and chocolate icing, and decorated with the Dallas Cowboys logo.

Glittery invitations and stationary were purchased from the Etsy shop, Just Invite Me.

Wedding favors included Godiva truffles in silver boxes wrapped with custom ribbons, and “beechies,” which are small mints. The packages said “2 Beechies,” which the couple thought was perfect because their last name is Beechly and the Brandon’s nickname is “Beech.” When they said “I do,” there were then 2 Beechs. Guests also received welcome gift bags featuring personalized wedding items and Dallas related items, such as cake balls from Breadwinners in Dallas, Dallas Blonde beer from Deep Ellum Brewery, and a custom “Harky & Beech” wedding notepad in the couple’s wedding colors.

For their honeymoon, the newlyweds will be traveling first to Hawaii in May, and then to Germany in June. While in Hawaii, they plan to relax and do some deep sea fishing, and in Germany they will travel and explore new sights.

Lauren and Brandon both had a few most memorable moments of their special day. For the bride, one was walking down the aisle& seeing her groom’s face.  She didn’t notice anything else but him, and she couldn’t wait to become his wife.  One of the groom’s favorite memories was standing at the altar, watching his bride walk down the aisle.

Both the bride and groom just loved having all their loving family and friends in one place to celebrate with them.  Being that everyone lives all over the place, this was the only time that they ever had all their loved ones in the same place at the same time; it was perfect!

Sherry & Jesse

February 13th 2011 Sherry was pulling into the parking lot of  “ Nail Studio”. While finding a place to park she saw this tall & very handsome guy entering into one of the shops. She thought ” Oh he is cute.” She parked & gathered her things, going into the nail shop. And there he was “ Mr. Tall dark and Oh so handsome” sitting in one of the chairs getting his weekly pedicure. They locked eyes and Sherry’s  first thought was , “ Oh my gosh… there he is!” the thought following that was “I am in my work out clothes looking a mess.” The nail beautician sat her down right in front of him (only a few yards away)! At this point she’s  looking straight down avoiding all eye contact to give him the impression that she was not interested. Needless to say Sherry had an on /off boyfriend at the time and wasn’t ready to meet anyone new. As the nail beautician was doing her nails she could see he was watching her. She didn’t dare look back, being very shy. The only time she worked up the guts to look at him was during the time her nails were drying and she was hiding behind their bamboo tree. She got a good look at him then but quickly glanced away when he looked up.

Once her nails were done she jumped up out of her seat, paid and rushed out of there.Sherry got to the car & reached for the door handle,  then “ pop!” Her nail broke! Sherry debated whether to go back in the nail shop but was so shy & nervous, she just jumped in the car &  left. Two weeks later she came back to the nail shop to get a manicure again. Before walking out of the house she thought, “ maybe I will see “ Mr. Tall dark and oh so handsome again?”  She entered the nail salon and sat down. Her nail beautician started small talk and within minutes she realized all the nail salon employees were surrounding her smiling. The owner of the salon , Christi asked  if Sherry remembered the guy a few weeks ago.  Sherry told her yes, she did. Christi then began to explain  that he was very interested in her and thought she was very beautiful. Sherry later found out that he was going to pay for her nails ( to break the ice)  but she left so abruptly that he didn’t get the chance.   Christi then explained that Jesse had been going to her nail shop for 3 years and he never expressed any  interest in any woman that’s entered her shop until he saw her! Sherry begin to tell Christi that she was flattered and he seemed sweet but she wasn’t looking to meet anyone new. Christi wouldn’t take no for an answer! She told the nail beautician who was working on her nails to take their time and that she was going to call Jesse to head over to meet Sherry again. Sherry insisted  not to call him, but Christi was determined to have them meet again. Sherry was held hostage!

Well about 30 minutes later he walked in the nail shop with this huge beautiful smile on his face. He spoke to everyone in the shop first and then he sat down and talked to her. They talked for 4 hours that day about their  Christian faith, testimony, hobbies etc. Come to find out Jesse had seen her at the street light before she pulled into the nail shop. He was struck by her exotic looks ( fair skin & long hair) and didn’t think she spoke English. He was just as surprised to see her enter the nail shop as she was to  see him there. After that day she knew Jesse was a very giving, caring, unique man and  gave him her number. Oh, and that “on and off boyfriend’ quickly become the permanent ex-boyfriend.

February 13th  2013 was their 2 year anniversary,  he proposed  at bible study in front of the entire church.
